"Change your thoughts, and you change your world."
—Norman Vincent Peale.
I don't know if that can work at this time of the term with all your exams as it works for the samurai of this animated short movie by Hanjin Song for his thesis at Ringling School of Art and Design in Florida .

"Cambia tus pensamientos, y cambiarás tu mundo."
—Norman Vincent Peale.

Have a nice weekend.
Feliz fin de semana.

Hay que pagar un precio

L'écriture de Robert Doisneau

"For anything worth having one must pay the price; and the price is always work, patience, love, self-sacrifice—no paper currency, no promises to pay, but the gold of real service."
— John Burroughs (1837-1921)

— John Burroughs (1837-1921)

A brilliant animated short film by directed by Sam Stephens and Christopher Wolfgang Mauch. Music by Matt Nakoa and Michael Hewett recorded with Sarah Whitney on violin: Tumbleweed Tango
The story reminds me of my students at this time of the term, making their way through exams/cacti successfully. Wish they would share the luck of the balloon dogs.

Note: A tumbleweed is the above-ground part of any of a number of plants that are most common in steppe and desert climates; once mature and dry, disengage from the root and tumble away in the wind aiding so in dispersal of propagules (seeds or spores).

Have a nice weekend.
Feliz fin de semana.

"Let us not despair but act. Let us not seek the Republican answer or the Democratic answer but the right answer. Let us not seek to fix the blame for the past — let us accept our own responsibility for the future."
— John Fitzgerald Kennedy -Loyola College Alumni Banquet, Baltimore, Maryland, February 18, 1958.

A funny classic animated short film by By Elian van der Heiden and Jeffrey Schreuders for their Bachelor film project from the Willem de Kooning Academy, Rotterdam. Used an original, to me, technique: drawing the characters on top of photographed stop-motion sets.
